On a Tuesday afternoon, I started to think more deeply about where I was going with my thesis project. This was going to be something I’d be dedicating a majority of my time towards and although I felt settled on some research I conducted throughout the past summer, I began to revaluate my goals.
My initial thesis focus was more centred within improving an existing product, though it was something I loved and gathered a lot of insight on throughout my time in the bay area — I felt the need to challenge myself a little more towards researching something more impactful and set it aside as a side project.
For the next few months, I wanted to fully commit my time towards something more fulfilling and necessary within our daily lives. I am now focusing on the area of self discovery, connection between mental and physical health and self care. I really want to define what self discovery can mean and encourage the importance of this concept. This was both of personal interest and equal opportunity for myself to grow personally in having an overall better understanding over.

Above are images I took of a personal time of self reflection, directly after I made the decision to change my thesis direction.
I love being by water because of how healing it feels. I think it’s important to take breaks, during good weather I always try to go for a walk by the Lakeshore then find myself a picnic table to write for a good couple of minutes. It really helps when I find time to write my thoughts out versus over thinking it all in my head.
